Sacred Journeys; Sacred Places

When was the last time you took time for yourself?  To get away to catch up with yourself?  To let God catch up with you?  A week away in a comfortable room, great campus, meals and inspiration?  Consider the June preached retreats:  Sacred Journeys; Sacred Places.

The God of the universe is always present and reaching out to us.  God reveals to be known and to help us understand who we are in the divine image and likeness.  The journey of the inner life is a call to awareness and acceptance of our truest self in God, to see what God sees and work to fulfill God’s reign in our world.  St. Thérèse teaches us that “everything is grace.”  Saints and mystics inspire us to make the inner journey which awaken us to the ever-Presence Who permeates this graced world.  Carmelite spirituality focuses on living in the Divine Presence, within and in the people and experiences of our lives.  Among the most challenging and empowering journeys of the human journey is from our head to our heart and soul, where the Divine Spark dwells and breathes.  While God is everywhere, we look for human places where the Presence is focused and speaks to us.  Through presentations, contemplative prayer, Eucharist, and silence we will explore the sacred journeys and places of our life and our world.

The retreat will begin at 7:00 PM on Sunday and conclude with lunch on Friday.

Cost: $535.00 for single occupancy; or $435 for double occupancy; $225.00 commuter rate (Cost includes programs, room, board and 14 meals).
