Light in Darkness

In a world where chaos and darkness seem to be emerging ever stronger, we reflect on God as Light who wanted to be known and involved in the creation and people created in the Divine Image and Likeness.  God called Abraham and Sarah to know the Divine and share the goodness of who God is with all people–to shed light amid a world collapsing in its own self-centered darkness and need to be in control.

Throughout biblical history both prophets and ordinary people revealed God’s presence in the world and challenged people of faith to transform the institutions and structures of darkness that separate and diminish.  Eventually God’s Son becomes one of us in the flesh to understand us better and to share the light of who we are, empowered by the Divine Spark in our soul–and to save us from the darkness that blinds us.  As Christians we know Jesus Christ as the revelation of God and the Light of the World.  This week will reflect on this call and responsibility to be Light in Darkness.

The retreat will begin at 7:00 PM on Sunday and conclude with lunch on Friday.

Cost

$535.00 for single occupancy; or $435 for double occupancy; $225.00 commuter rate (Cost includes program, sleeping room, and 14 meals).
